You are educated, well settled, well off, affluent and doing well in life
But ignoring your all abilities, A person asks you about your caste. And he put you down in front of all just because you belong to lower caste, and smashed the golden mirror of your dignity and personality...Yes after having everything you have nothing as you dont have right to live with dignity as you belong to lower caste i.e. You are not a human being
Poorvagrah (Prejudices) is a documentary film based on the experiences and discrimination faced by two protagonists Prashant Sharma (an upper caste Brahmin) and an Advocate Mr. Madan Lala Kalkal (Dalit). Both of them are well educated and living in Delhi, the capital of India.
Through this film they reflect their feelings and resentment of inner heart. Mr. Madan Lal Kalkal who is prejudiced, harassed, suppressed and depressed by the people of upper caste, is annoyed with the political and social system and wants to bring a radical change in the society and here he suggests the ways to change the society
On the other hand, Mr. Prashant Sharma, who is now running an NGO for poor people, is a die hard supporter and leader of Congress Party (party with the theory of equal and egalitarian society).
He had held many key posts in Youth Congress. He is of the view that differences between man and man are natural and has been made by God. So primitive social system is much better and he is not against the radical change if it happens.
Prashant Sharma is also quite sure that even government and its policies would not be effective to bring about any change in the society as todays politicians and other able social driver only talk about equality but in reality they dont want this to happen.
